Mustonen died on Thursday 22 May. His death was confirmed by a relative to the magazine.
Born in Kemi in 1947, Mustonen worked as a visual artist and painter. In his career, he made bronze sculptures and became known for the use of dark colors and strong symbolism.
Mustonen was a member of the Hyvinkää Artists’ Association since 1985. In 2000, he was elected as the Artist of the Year of the Hyvinkää Art Guild. Mustonen was also a member of the Painters Association.
