The Waasmunster fire brigade received a very special call on Saturday evening around 5.15 pm. A resident of Kleemstraat saw a ‘large, black animal with a long, thick tail’ in a tree at dusk, which he thought looked very much like a puma. It eventually turned out to be an abandoned nest of hornets.
