Help Sinterklaas in action for minimum wages: ‘Every child should be able to celebrate a nice Sinterklaas’

“Many campaigns already send ready-made packages,” says Alma Huizing of the organization. “With us, parents can choose their own gifts for their children. They also receive wrapping paper and something delicious for Sinterklaas evening. We really want to include that.” There are also many entrepreneurs from the village who donate gifts or food.

Families with a small wallet can register via the Pakhuis 51 website. Parents can come by on Friday to pick out gifts. More than 100 children have already been registered. More than ever before: “We think that the energy crisis plays a role. We cannot say that with certainty. But we also see more and more Ukrainian families who participate and status holders in the applications.”

“I hope the action succeeds,” says someone who comes to donate second-hand toys. “Well, with gifts like that, it will certainly be fine. Bye!”, replies Greven, who drives the umpteenth cart inside. “I think we will be sorting until the wee hours. We will continue quietly for a while.”
