Do you have a plan to help make decisions about your village or neighborhood together with your neighbors? Or an idea that will make young people more involved in the neighborhood? Loket D supports local initiatives that come from the community itself, where people participate in discussions and participate in decision-making. That is what democracy is all about. From Monday, October 13, foundations and associations can again submit an application to Loket D. A maximum of 15,000 euros per year is available per plan.
Desk D is an initiative of the Vfonds in collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations.
Frank Rijkaart, Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations: “Dutch people should be able to participate in the discussion and feel that they have influence on the decisions that affect them. People are increasingly working on solutions for their neighborhood, village, municipality or country. They work together in neighborhood businesses, they manage the neighborhood and support each other. The government encourages these initiatives and would like to strengthen them. That is why we participate in Loket D.”
Participate in discussions and participate in decision-making
Desk D is there for small, local initiatives. Such as initiatives about how you interact with each other and what role you have in the neighborhood. How young and old can make their voices heard or how the neighborhood becomes safer. For example, Groningen has the Neighborhood Mothers project, who work together to create a liveable neighborhood where everyone’s voice counts. And in Wageningen, residents think about income security in a Residents’ Panel. Read more about the projects at www.vfonds.nl/loketd
