Helmond Sport once again knows what winning is. And that happened on Friday evening at rival FC Eindhoven (0-1). It can hardly get any sweeter. Surprising was also the win of TOP Oss: the visiting Jong PSV was beaten 1-0. Three matches in the Kitchen Champion Division were temporarily halted after beer glasses were thrown on the field: FC Eindhoven – Helmond Sport, FC Den Bosch – Almere City FC and PEC Zwolle – Roda JC.
FC Eindhoven – Helmond Sports 0-1
Until this Friday evening, Helmond Sport had only won once in the last eight games. In the Jan Louwers Stadium, a goal by Jelle Goselink, immediately after the break, was decisive and enough for finally another Helmond victory. In view of the game image, the home club deserved a point. Before the start, a minute’s silence was observed due to the death of Fred van Berendonk, former goalkeeper of FC Eindhoven.
TOP Oss – Jong PSV 1-0
Also only one goal in Oss. It came, in the 19th minute, to Bradly van Hoeven. The home club transferred the penultimate place in the ranking to FC Dordrecht with the victory. Jong PSV was partly to blame for the loss, because the Eindhoven promises have indeed been given opportunities.
FC Den Bosch – Almere City FC 2-2
FC Den Bosch has done everything to book the eighth home win in the last game of this season in de Vliert. It didn’t work, because the exciting duel with Almere City FC, the number three in the ranking, ended in 2-2. Ilias Bournassaoudi opened the score in the 21st minute, after which Álvaro Pena Herrero equalized after more than half an hour. Hamdi Akujobi gave the visitors the lead in the 51st minute. Nick de Groot determined the final score in the 63rd minute at 2-2 with his first goal for the formation of Tomasz Kaczmarek.

Willem II – Jong FC Utrecht 3-0
It took Willem II more than five minutes to take the lead. Jizz Hornkamp signed for the opening goal, on a clever pass from Thijs Oosting. It was about time, because it rained opportunities for the home club. Within three minutes it was even 2-0. Wessel Dammers found the net for the first time in a year. Jeremy Bokila made it 3-0 before the final whistle. Bokila then did not take off his shirt, but did take off his pants. He escaped a yellow card.

NAC Breda – Heracles Almelo 0-3
NAC would have liked to lift Heracles’ leg, but eventually lost with a big difference to the main champion candidate. Emil Hansson (56.), veteran Marko Vejnovic (88.) and Lasse Wehmeyer (90.) provided the production for the formation from Almelo. NAC ended the meeting with ten men. Keeper Roy Kortsmit was rightly sent off when he torpedoed Sem Scheperman as rude as he was stupid. The goalkeeper of NAC will not play this weekend due to a suspension and he may also miss the first game in the playoffs. Three of his teammates received a yellow card from referee Pol van Boekel.
