Helmi Loukasmäki from Ostrobothnia had a publicity stunt, during which a big dream became clear.
Wouldn’t be 19 years old Helmi Loukasmäki couldn’t believe what life would bring when he jumped off the Rauma bus with his suitcase, summer job in mind.
It was opposite Danny With Mersuine, and the rest is history.
Now three years have passed since that moment, and the time is ripe for publishing your own music. Helmi Loukasmäki’s first own single Come and continue the summer saw the light of day this week. The destination is clear: now he is fully investing in his artistic career.
– The song represents the style of music that I like. I’m such a little grandma, I love everything old, both in music and fashion, Helmi laughs at Iltalehte.
– The song is about young people’s search phase and longing for love.
Published last summer Fightcover already has more than half a million listens on Spotify and YouTube. Helmi had time to gain performance experience throughout last year as part of iso-D’s party tour.
– I gained self-confidence from each performance. It was pretty cool that I got the biggest concert halls in Finland as my first concert venues! Many have been able to go to schools, but still cannot enter such arenas. I feel privileged, but very grateful for the opportunities and lessons I have received.
Behind the fresh song is an experienced team. It was composed by a multi-talented musician Petri Kokko and wrote a familiar song about iskelmähits Chris Johansson. The biggest surprise is probably that Danny is the producer.
– It’s exciting because this is my first own song. Danny has always been there for me. I can rely on his advice on many issues.
You can listen Come and continue the summer – at the end of the article.

The everyday life of an artist
The two have had time to experience a lot together in three years. Helmi and Danny currently live under the same roof in Espoo.
According to Helmi, they spend a lot of time together working on various projects. Helmi and Danny spent 1.5 months in Thailand, from where the trip took them to Fuengirola on an express schedule.
During Danny’s party tour, Helmi insisted on being allowed to work as a driver on gig trips. That’s when the everyday life of a performing artist came to the fore: a surprising number of Finnish stars drive their gigs themselves, and in one weekend they can clock up another thousand kilometers.
– When you drive somewhere from Oulu to Helsinki without stopping, that kind of thing takes a toll. On the tour, I learned a lot about the industry in concrete terms. Some people may have the image that as an artist you just fly on a plane to a gig, go to a hotel and go on stage refreshed, but that’s not really the case. Giging is hard, but nice.
– In addition to Danny, I was riding Petri Kokko and Markku Veijalainen. The roads of Finland became familiar and I heard good stories. I have told Danny that if he were to drive the Rauma-Kuopio distance alone at the age of 80, it would not be a good thing at all! It could be really dangerous.

Subject to supina
Nowadays, when the Ostrobothnian beauty travels to her hometown Ilmajoki, the locals’ heads turn. The same is also happening in Espoo. During the Prisma visits, we talk and try to continue despite the sounds of gravel.
– Yes, there are those who comment on my relationship with Danny or my singing voice. Yes, I know that the Danny thing is surprising and that I’m not a super singer. At no point have I claimed to be someone Celine Dion. It’s about the fact that I’m obviously interested in what I’m doing and I like to sing, Helmi says directly.
– This is a nice experiment. If people like it, I want to continue, but I also have other things I want to do in my life. What I have learned is that this industry is really hard and exhausting. I want a safe profession alongside this, even though I want to continue making music. I can’t say that this career as a singer is for the rest of my life.

Helmi is looking forward to going to the Rauman villa next summer. He plans to plant flowers there and make the place pretty.
Of course, it would be amazing to be able to perform something new live Come and continue the summer – song. Helmi Loukasmäki dreamed of doing joint gigs with Danny and learning more about the music industry.
Everyday life is filled by the two’s close togetherness.
– Our everyday life is quite ordinary – it’s nice to be together. We help each other and do different projects. We watch series on Netflix, listen to music, have long in-depth conversations and organize places in D-production.
– We are united by hard work. We both want to do things and keep life in order. Nothing would come of it if one messed up and the other cleaned up after.
Cooking is strongly in Helmi’s heart, and she says that she has recently received new inspiration for it.
– Recently, salmon soup has been a tough word and Danny has liked it. It’s nice to try all kinds of things. I just made meringue on May Day.

New friends
A warm circle of friends has formed around them, who live and breathe the entertainment industry. Many of Danny’s friends have become close to Helmi as well.
He keeps in touch with his high school friends from time to time, but many have also been eliminated due to the publicity.
It is important for Helmi that her own family, in particular, supports what she does and encourages her dream of pursuing a career as an artist.
According to him, life is good right now – that’s why he doesn’t care about gravel sounds.
– Many friendships have been made, but there are a few that have not accepted me. They have tried to make things difficult between us, although it has not been successful. Danny and I are very close and since we haven’t done anything bad to anyone, others shouldn’t have that attitude. I have noticed that some older people behave worse than children.
Helmi looks straight in the eyes and continues.
– So age doesn’t always decide. Of course, you can disagree on things, that’s acceptable, but basic manners should be everyone’s own. Bullying is never constructive, says Helmi Loukasmäki.
– I am grateful that through Danny I have met good and skilled people who have become my friends. Some wonder how you can be around an 80-year-old, but I have friends of different ages. Age doesn’t matter in friendship.
