Helmarit continued the training tournament organized in Cyprus wonderfully. On Thursday, the national team beat Croatia 4–1, and on Sunday Hungary by no less than 8–0.

The number of goals shares the record in the history of Helmarei. In 2014, Finland beat Bulgaria with the same figures.

Helmarit led at halftime with three goals. Then the coaching staff, the commander-in-chief Marko Saloranta in the lead brought to the field perhaps his most dangerous weapon, i.e. the national team’s all-time scorer by Linda Sällström.

The national team legend completed his hat trick within 12 minutes. Playing at club level for Glasgow Rangers Jenny Danielsson scored two goals and Kaisa Collin, Vilma Koivisto and Evelina Summanen one each.

Collin, who finished the opening goal, said that Helmareiden noticed that Hungary, ranked 42nd in the world, does not give much pressure.

– The beginning started out tight, but then we realized that they are not pressing too hard. If you can keep the ball and play at a fast pace, you can easily get into their shape. We got a lot of scoring opportunities, Collin said on Helmareite’s social media channel.

Hungary’s joy in the game was missing, especially in the second half. Collin mentioned that the finishing blow was replacing Sallström on the field.

– At least in the second half, Hungary was really tired. Then Linda Sällström with fresh legs (on the field), and that was it.

Finland’s tournament continues on Wednesday against Romania.
