It could just be that Hélène Hendriks will become the big TV surprise of the summer with her talk show De Oranjezomer, expects Rob Goossens. “He’s going to make the million.”
Hélène Hendriks started last week as the second summer replacement for Today Inside, after Marcel & Gijs. Her viewing figures are perfectly fine and better than those of Marcel van Roosmalen and Gijs Groenteman, but will that remain the case? Yes, thinks Rob Goossens. In fact, he thinks that the presenter will surprise friend and foe.
High expectations
Rob’s expectations are really very high. He looks into the season finale of the BLVD Podcast already looking forward to the next episode of the new podcast season, at the end of August: “I think there is also a good chance that we will have to sing praises to Hélène Hendriks by then.”
Why? “Well, the thing is: both Op1 and the RTL talk shows are going on a summer break. And yes, of course they both only have 38 presenters and they all have to go on holiday at the same time once in their lives. They are then gone and Hélène is still there.”
‘She is the talk show’
If there is no Op1 and no RTL talk show, then Hélène does not have to compete for guests. “Yes, and if something happens in the Netherlands or crazy things happen in Russia, yes, then she is the talk show. I think she will do just fine.”
He continues: “The fact that she then exceeds the million mark and that they then say: ‘Well, following up on Inside Today is already difficult, Marcel & Gijs succeeded. It was difficult to follow them, but Hélène succeeds.’ I kind of see that coming. That that will happen this summer.”
Showbiz news
Rob thinks it’s going to be a sultry showbiz summer anyway. “I have the feeling that in terms of showbiz news, it will be a more turbulent summer than you expect in advance.”
In terms of transfers and TV news? “No, just celebrities who do stupid things.”
Ah, that’s right. That’s common these days.
