Italian eyewear manufacturer Safilo Group has appointed Michele Melotti as the group’s new CFO.
Melotti will begin his new role on August 28, Safilo announced on Monday. He has been with the company in the finance and accounting department since 2012 and has held the position of Senior Director Group Controlling since 2019. The announcement of the new chief financial officer follows the departure of previous CFO Gerd Graehsler, which the group announced on Friday.
Safilo has eyewear licenses from brands such as Etro and Tommy Hilfiger, among others. The group just renewed the contract for the design and manufacture of the US brand’s eyewear models at the end of June.
