Hélène Hendriks wants to go to the Televizier gala as a glitter Tinky Winky

It could be that Hélène Hendriks will soon parade across the red carpet of the Gouden Televizier-Ring as a kind of glittery Tinky Winky. “I think this is really beautiful.”

It’s always a hassle for TV women: what on earth do you wear to the Golden Televizier-Ring Gala? Nobody wants to be in a gossip magazine with one champagne glass the following week, so they pull out all the stops to appear presentable. Hélène Hendriks also tried on all kinds of dresses Show news was there.

Crazy about glitter

Hélène made her preferences known prior to the fitting. “The more glitter, the better. Bleached hair! Hahaha. No, I have no sense of fashion, so it is nice that that is done.”

First up is a somewhat sober purple dress (photo: right). “I think it’s a beautiful dress, I love purple and it’s quite simple. Minimalist, very beautiful.”

Then a golden, shiny dress passes by: “Also beautiful.”

Hold your stomach

Hélène is less enthusiastic about a red dress. “So I have to hold my stomach in all evening and you don’t want that. I’m going to have a nice meal beforehand.”

And then eventually some kind of purple Tinky Winky glitter dress comes along. She is really lyrical about that. “So I chose this one myself, because I love glitter. I think this one is very beautiful.”

They are less enthusiastic at the Shownieuws desk. Anouk Smulders: “This is just like an ABBA suit.”

Colleague Bart Ettekoven: “She can go straight into the musical.”

‘Red is favourite!’

Anouk thinks that Hélène should go for the red one. “That woman really has a body that allows her to put on anything and everything looks good. My favorite is the red one.”

Colleague Dyantha Brooks: “Yes, very nice.”

Anouk: “Woman, tie a bow around it, this is it.”

Natacha Harlequin: “But holding your stomach in all the time is nothing.”

‘It’s hysterical’

According to Dyantha, that’s just in Hélène’s mind. “Yes, that’s her feeling, isn’t it?”

Anouk: “Yes, you also have all sorts of things underneath so you can pull it up and flatten it. There are all kinds of things available for that. On such an evening you might have to hold your stomach for a moment, because she has a chance to become the star of the evening.”

Dyantha seems less enthusiastic about that Tinky Winky suit. “Isn’t this suit hysterical? That ABBA suit!”
