Hélène Hendriks receives full support after being insulted: ‘Jealousy!’

The popularity of Hélène Hendriks is undeniably enormous. She is showered with support reactions after the hard attack by podcast maker Stéphanie Hoogenberk. “This is jealousy.”

Hélène Hendriks has been under quite a bit of fire lately because of the somewhat light-hearted way in which she reacts to transgressive behaviour. This also causes annoyance for writer Stéphanie Hoogenberk, who goes completely wild on the presenter in her podcast. She particularly criticizes Hélène’s appearance. “Blonde bitch!” she shouts.

Blonde part

Although Stéphanie’s podcast has an ironic undertone, it is more than clear that she really has nothing to do with Hélène on a personal level. “I hate these kind of women. Really a terrible dislike,” she says, among other things. And: “Fortunately, I don’t know these kinds of women, I don’t want them in my immediate vicinity.”

It goes down the wrong way with many people that Hélène is also attacked for things like her silver earrings (‘she is the only one left in the Netherlands’) and she is called a ‘blonde bastard’ and even a ‘h*er’. Even if that is meant to be ironic, you can of course ask yourself whether that is not unnecessarily hurtful.

Jealousy

In any case, it will do Hélène good that she is flooded with support reactions on Twitter. “Presumably there is quite a bit of jealousy behind the hatred of women with slightly boyish (but not too) traits,” Christina tweeted.

Louise hopes that Hélène will not let this kind of criticism bother her. “Hélène please stay as you are. Don’t mind all the shit they spout. I think you’re great.”

Nathalie denounces Stéphanie: “How jealous that woman is!! What do you let yourself know…”

And Thorvald: “Jealousy, envy, and false womanizing. Hélène Hendriks is simple, fun and nice and direct.”

Really very unkind

Stéphanie goes too far, thinks Nathalie. “So, hello! I find this really rude. Going crazy because someone has silver instead of gold earrings… You can’t like the whole world, Steph.”

A Robert on that: “Who is Stephanie Hogenbirk? And yes Hendriks is one of the guys, that also makes her someone who can easily maintain herself on the monkey rock. Nice woman too. I taste some kift.”

Nathalie again: “Apparently it was satire in a podcast. She sent me a dm. Well, I don’t have time for podcasts.”

Who runs the world?

Star journalist Dieuwertje Kuijpers notes that ‘people who think that if women ran the world it would look more peaceful’ should read Stéphanie’s statements.

One Bridget then speaks of ‘envy’ and writer Stella Bergsma, who is used to the shit cart, thinks the comments on Hélène are even better than expected. “Well, if that’s all…”

There are also people who stand up for Stéphanie. For example, Roberto states that her statements are ‘placed without context as clickbait or to shock’. He thinks Stéphanie and her colleague are ‘two funny podcast makers, who incidentally had a point’.
