Hélène Hendriks fled from the Today Inside studio in her pink coat last night, because she tested positive for corona. VI viewers don’t understand: “Why a test?!”
During the corona pandemic, everyone had to take a test before TV recordings, but those days are long behind us. However, the number of infections is currently increasing rapidly again and Minister Ernst Kuipers even advises skipping Christmas dinner if you have complaints. Hélène was actually supposed to take a seat in the last Today Inside of the year, but she fled the building in a hurry. That is why sexologist Eveline Stallaart was in her place. Wilfred finds it exaggerated that Hélène has left. “It’s a very minor flu, isn’t it?”

Wilfred: “I’m still very young. I’m not as old as you.”
Johan: “I have taken all the injections. I like that, another injection and no problems.”
Incomprehension
It is striking that Hélène’s decision to test leads to a lot of misunderstanding among VI viewers, as can be seen on the program’s social media. “Man, man, stop with that corona fear, just act normal,” says one Molenaar on the VI-Insta.
Many viewers share that opinion. Roy: “Such a shame, testing for a program… Stop it, man… Flu and on, nothing wasted.”
