“We celebrated our ‘Atemlos’ premiere together on the ‘Wetten, dass..?’ show at the end of November. The last time that Thomas Gottschalk moderated,” explained Fischer after the duet. “It’s a shame that the old man doesn’t do it anymore – I like seeing him from time to time,” the pop star continued. Then David took over and became a little more cryptic: “If the rooster is sniffly and hoarse, he crows a little quieter in the morning.”
Fischer clarified: “We were asked to include three sentences in my show. With that fulfilled, dear Thomas.”
Shirin David vs. Thomas Gottschalk
Fischer and David were guests on Thomas Gottschalk’s last “Wetten, dass ..?” broadcast on November 25, 2023. There was a couch fight between the moderator and David. Gottschalk had made some comments towards David that were viewed by many as misogynistic and yesterday’s news – for example, that it wouldn’t be obvious that she was an opera fan and a feminist. “Why not… because I look good?” David replied. “I just want to say, as a feminist, we can look good, we can be smart and eloquent and beautiful at the same time. One does not exclude the other,” said the 28-year-old.
