Norwegian skier Heidi Weng has gone home from the World Championships in Planica without competing once. The Norwegian Broadcasting Company reported on the matter NRK.

– I was looking forward to the world championships, but I feel that things are not going as they should, so I’m going home and wish the others luck, Weng said in the press release of the country’s skiing association.

A more precise reason for the problems of the Sochi Olympic skiathlon bronze medalist has not been given.

Weng, 31, has finished on the podium twice in the World Cup this season.
