Heerenveen two games without suspended Halilovic
Trainer Kees van Wonderen of sc Heerenveen cannot rely on Tibor Halilovic in the competition matches against Ajax and FC Twente. The Croatian playmaker of the Frisians has been suspended following his red card against NEC (0-0) on Sunday. Heerenveen agreed to the settlement proposal of the professional football prosecutor for three matches, two of which are conditional.
Referee Jochem Kamphuis initially gave Halilovic yellow for a wild tackle on Elayis Tavsan. After the intervention of the VAR, that was converted into a red card.
Heerenveen is still unbeaten in the Eredivisie after five games and is in sixth place with 9 points. Van Wonderen’s team will compete against leader Ajax in Amsterdam on Saturday and will receive FC Twente a week later.
