sc Heerenveen has reacted with horror to an action by a group of fans of the club. On Thursday, according to images on social media, they went to the stadium of competitor Cambuur in Leeuwarden with balaclavas, where they unrolled a banner with the text ‘Cambuur dood’.
In addition, Heerenveen reports, they would have left a deer head. In the logo of the club from Leeuwarden is a red deer. The Frisian derby will be played in Heerenveen on Sunday.
“Sc Heerenveen abhors this completely idiotic behavior and therefore distances itself from this absurd action,” the Eredivisionist reports on the website. The club says it will do everything it can to find “the perpetrators of this action” in order to be able to take appropriate measures.
Police had no information about the incident on Thursday evening.
