Due to an accident on the parallel lane of the A9 at the Raasdorp junction, there is a large traffic jam in the direction of Amstelveen this evening rush hour. The motorcyclist, who crashed into the back of a car near Lijnden, is seriously injured.
A motorcyclist crashed into the back of a car. “According to the motorcyclist, this happened because the car suddenly braked,” says the police spokesperson. “The car may have continued driving. Whether this is actually the case remains to be investigated.”
“There was an air ambulance,” says an editor who drove by. “Many people get out of their cars. Traffic is gradually allowed to pass.”
To investigate the accident, the police closed the A9 at the Raasdorp junction. Traffic towards Amstelveen can use the right parallel carriageway. According to Rijkswaterstaat, there is currently a traffic jam of thirty minutes. The road is expected to be open again around 6:30 p.m.
