This morning a traffic jam lasted more than an hour on the A7 due to an accident near the Avenhorn exit. The ANWB reports that the road is now free again and the delays have been resolved.
There is a traffic jam of about eight kilometers between Hoorn and Zaanstad. An accident has occurred near the Avenhorn exit, causing the left lane to close.
The delay has now increased to more than an hour.

According to the ANWB, it is not only the A7 that is affected by the morning rush hour. This Monday after the Christmas holidays, the roads are full everywhere. Some delays are reported on the A8 and A9, among others.
