Heavy riots in The Hague: police cars on fire and officers pelted with stones

Heavy riots have broken out in the Dutch city of The Hague. Hundreds of Eritrean youths attacked each other with sticks and other weapons, they also demolished cars and other street furniture. Police cars and a coach were set on fire and officers were pelted with stones. A trail of destruction was created in the streets around the ‘Opera’ event hall. Police eventually used tear gas to stop the rioters. In the meantime, peace has returned.
