Heavy house fire in Westouter
A house is on fire at half past five on Tuesday afternoon on the edge of the village in Poperingestraat, when leaving Westouter in the direction of Reningelst. Several fire brigades from the Westhoek fire brigade are on site to extinguish the fire.
The resident (60 years old) got out of the house under his own power, but was taken to hospital for a medical check-up. The house and extension were completely destroyed by the fire. The mayor and the municipal services will provide care for the resident.
