Heavy fire destroys three houses in Knokke-Heist

When the fire brigade arrived at the burning house, flames were already shooting out through windows. The adjacent houses were also ablaze. There were no casualties. The resident of the house where the fire started got out in time. The adjacent houses have been empty for a while. The residents of the other houses were evacuated. It is not yet clear when they can return home. The fire may also have released asbestos particles.

The public prosecutor’s office appointed a fire expert to investigate the cause of the fire.
