The report that Shima Kaes has filed against her ex-boyfriend Johnny de Mol is on the street and is causing shocked reactions. “What a totally astonishing story,” says Luuk Ikink, for example.
It has been quite quiet for a while around the assault case against Johnny de Mol. The presenter is accused by his ex-girlfriend Shima Kaes of assault and attempted murder, but Johnny’s denial at the Op1 talk show table at the beginning of last year was apparently sufficient to pick up his TV career again.
Totally mind-boggling
Now magazine HP/DeTijd has reported Shima against Johnny got hold of and he doesn’t lie. Her statements are not only detailed, but also extremely shocking and there even appear to be multiple witnesses. One of the witnesses would be none other than Els Verberk, the wife of John de Mol.
RTL Boulevard, the country’s most watched showbiz program, is completely in shock. It is therefore inevitable that Johnny will be the opening news there tonight. “What a totally astounding story. Shima Kaes made a report and was interrogated for hours last week. It concerns 3 violent incidents, described in this article“, says presenter Luuk Ikink.
And Joost Maiburg, reporter for the show section, speaks of a ‘fierce and shocking story’.
Three incidents
Shima was interrogated for no less than seven hours at an Amsterdam police station last week as a result of her report. HP/DeTijd journalist Ton F. van Dijk delved into that report and in his article sums up ‘Ex-fiancé Johnny de Mol interrogated by police about alleged assault‘ three extremely violent incidents.
HP/DeTijd finds the declaration quite detailed. According to the magazine, it contains ‘dozens of photos’ that apparently show many injuries to her body, but also a medical file from 2015. In it, a doctor writes about domestic violence: “Last Friday I had an argument with a friend, he was (…) under influence of alcohol and drugs.”
Kicked and beaten
The three incidents, in Tulum, Amsterdam and Ibiza, sound like scenes from a horror film. “He punched, kicked, sat on top of her and pulled her hair against Mrs. Shima Kamali Sarvestani,” the Tulum incident reported.
There are even three witnesses to an alleged incident in The Harbor Club in Amsterdam, including the manager. There “he punched her in the face as a result of which she fell”, it sounds. Once at home ‘he tried to strangle her with his hands’.
Wife of John
During the incident in Ibiza, Johnny is also said to have made a ‘choking attempt’. “He completely beaten her up in the bathroom of the hotel room,” according to HP/DeTijd in the report.
Els Verberk, the wife of John de Mol, is mentioned as a witness in the report. “Els demanded that I put on a hat and a room in a nearby hotel was booked via the reception within five minutes.”
It is all described in detail in the article by HP/DeTijd†
Johnny not in HLF8?
Columnist Jan Dijkgraaf thinks that the SBS stars will do all sorts of bends tonight to spare Johnny. After all, he is the boss’s son. “Well, tomorrow’s Note is ready early. Just add the trivialization by Johan Derksen tonight. (…) You would like to be at Shownieuws tonight and have integrity…”
Media journalist Mark Koster thinks it’s a travesty that Johnny was able to get a talk show at all. He points to other celebrities who have been canceled after similar accusations: “The taboo of the Media Park. Stars get canceled and taunted, but the media oligarch’s son gets a talk show.”
“Holy sh*t!”
Vrij Nederland journalist Dieuwertje Kuijpers denounces the alleged role of John de Mol’s wife. “Holy shit, then you see with your own eyes how your stepson has beaten up his girlfriend and your primary reaction is to humiliate her: nothing less than a mental abuse on top of the physical.”
Volkskrant reporter Nadia Ezzeroili speaks of a ‘disconcerting article’ and the opinion site No style sits in front of the TV at 7:30 with popcorn. “We are ready, tonight 19.35 pm, HLF8 with presenter JOHNNY DE M.! By the way, has Linda already responded?”
According to HP/DeTijd, Johnny de Mol and his family do not want to respond.
