Andries Jonker returned to the training field this week after a corona infection. On Thursday, the Telstar coach concluded that he will miss twelve players against De Graafschap tomorrow evening. For example, strong holders such as Ronald Koeman Jr., Tom Overtoom, Delvechio Blackson and Ozan Kökcü are missing.
It is also doom and gloom within the technical staff. For example, today the closing assistant coach Anthony Correia and the goalkeeper coach were absent. Correia was still responsible for Telstar on Sunday due to Jonker’s absence.
Robbemond
Opponent De Graafschap has dropped somewhat in the rankings. The Superboeren are seventh and direct promotion seems far away for Reinier Robbemond’s team. The coach from Heerhugowaard took over from Mike Snoei last summer. According to Andries Jonker, De Graafschap is not a title candidate either, because they lack an easy-scoring striker.

Telstar strengthened last month with Giovanni, Randy Wolters, Stanley Akoy and Jay Kruiver. Nevertheless, Jonker does not look back at the transfer market with a very satisfied feeling. The coach of the White Lions believes that investments have mainly been made in the quantity of the selection, rather than in the quality.

The match against De Graafschap is the first home game again with an audience for Telstar. The stadium then offers space for one third of the capacity. The Velsenaren have recently had an extra grandstand on the north side. This means that there is room for all five hundred season ticket holders.
Telstar – De Graafschap starts Friday evening at 8 p.m. and can be followed live on NH Radio. Just like the FC Volendam – Jong FC Utrecht match.
