Today marks the last day of a heat wave that will (for the time being) go down in the climatological history books. Never before have we experienced one so late in the year. Moreover, this heat wave is also characterized by a long series of consecutive tropical days. One daily record after another is broken. This heat wave is special on many levels, but how exceptional is it? And is it the first ever in this month? Meteorologist Jonas De Bodt delves into the RMI data.
