Washington – The first night of hearings by the congressional committee investigating the January 6, 2021 storming of the Capitol, few Americans seem to have changed their minds. The comments afterwards were as divided as American society has been for some time. Those who support Donald Trump see in the hearings a new attempt to tar and feather the former president. Opponents of Trump are getting their opinion that he more or less organized the storm himself.
