Labeling errors and the presence of Listeria monocytogenes, among the reasons why its withdrawal has been ordered
The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN) is the body responsible for ordering the removal of food and nutritional products from supermarket shelves in the event of finding any that are in poor condition or do not comply with the regulatory requirements related to the matter.
When an incident is reported, withdrawal is carried out in a matter of days. On this occasion, we will talk to you about several products that have had to be recalled in recent weeks.
The products that have been removed from supermarkets by AESAN
In a statement issued by the AESAN last Friday, it was confirmed that they had been detected metal fragments in various brand ice creams Bon Gelati distributed by Lidl: “as a precautionary measure, the supplier Lidl Stiftung & Co. KG. requests the return of the Bon Gelati Bourbon Vanilla Flavor 2500ml ice cream with expiration dates 09/21/2025 and 09/22/2025since the possible presence of foreign bodies (metallic and plastic) cannot be ruled out.”
On the other hand, there has been a labeling error by which the withdrawal of the garden soup from Eroski, Alteza, Carrefour, Spar and Alcampo (Auchan). The label did not detail that the product contains mustard, which is a danger for people allergic to this component.
Finally, products that could be affected by the presence of Listeria monocytogenes: they are of company Industrias Cárnicas Sierra Nevada SL and several batches of mini iberian fuet, pork cheese and spicy candle chorizo.
