Several people were injured this afternoon due to an accident on Nieuwlanderweg in De Waal on Texel.
The report of the accident came to the police on Sunday afternoon around 1.25 pm, when a passenger car and a Texelhopper collided head-on. How exactly the accident could have happened is not yet clear and is still being investigated, a police spokesman told NH News.
The 59-year-old Texel driver of the passenger car and a 40-year-old woman from Amsterdam were injured and taken to hospital. How they are doing is still unknown. The Amsterdam woman was in the Texelhopper during the accident, another occupant of the van was taken to hospital for a check-up. Both vehicles were towed away by a salvage company.
