LOOK. Antwerp public prosecutor’s office investigates Zoë Snoeks’ fatal ‘fall’ in the Ardennes
According to Joeri J., his wife Zoë slipped on November 2, 2021 during a photo shoot at Le Hérou in Nadrin in the Ardennes. “For a moment I looked at our two dogs. At that time Zoë was away. Without a word or a shout. She was simply not there anymore,” he told our newspaper shortly after the tragedy.
The Luxembourg public prosecutor’s office assumed it was an accident, but Zoë’s family doubted it and requested additional investigation. Last year in October, almost two years after the facts, the Antwerp public prosecutor’s office placed Joeri J. from Lommel under arrest. He is suspected of pushing his wife. There are now also new elements in the file.
For example, ‘Het Nieuwsblad’ writes that the man allegedly contacted professionals to have Zoë’s mobile phone emptied.
In addition, a hiker reportedly testified that he suddenly heard a horrible scream at the bottom of the rock, while Yuri J. claimed that Zoë had fallen “without a word or a scream”. These are elements and explanations that arouse suspicion among investigators. According to ‘Het Nieuwsblad’ the suspect continues to deny the crime.
