‘He plays the victim at home’

What a mega riot Angela, Theo Maassen’s ex-mistress, has caused. She is considered a whistleblower in the case about the alleged domestic violence that he allegedly committed or has committed against his wife Joyce. And she has a lot of evidence in her hands, namely a 120,000-word app conversation with Joyce.

‘It goes well’

The row surrounding Theo does not subside, even now that Joyce has suddenly denied through Theo’s management that he broke her nose. And while Joyce has given weekly magazine Privé permission to paraphrase her apps. What’s going on here? What does Angela think about it now?

First of all, how is Angela doing? She tells in New Revu: “I didn’t sleep well in the run-up to the article in Privé, but I’m doing well again now. Everything that needed to be said has been said and it has been said in a good way.”

Ranks closed

Does Angela think that Theo’s wife is now sitting next to him on the couch again? Yes. “Knowing Theo, I suspect that he and his wife have closed ranks and Theo is licking his wounds at home on the couch. He will play the victim there, something he always does when he finds himself in a difficult situation.”

And as his ex-mistress, she knows all about that. “When his cheating came out to Joyce, he walked through my living room crying, afraid that he would lose all his friends because of it.”

Dark story

Angela does not recognize the accusations from types like Johan Derksen that she has put Theo in a miserable situation. He did that himself, she thinks. “What he has created is chaos and a dark story in which those around him became trapped.”

She concludes: “As a Buddhist chant I for him, his wife and the children, in the hope that they can live together again in love and reality. Hopefully Theo can come to terms with himself now that everything has been made public.”
