Fajah Lourens has been dissed in an unsympathetic manner by Arie Boomsma. She sent him a message about her new book, but he just ignored it. “Not fun.”
There is another new book by Fajah Lourens on the shelves and it has been frequently promoted in recent weeks. Celebrities were also deployed and this led – probably deliberately – to a number of rumors, for example about a love affair with Ruud de Wild. True or not: it certainly generates attention for the Fajah Lourens brand again.

The person who did not want to participate in Fajah’s PR circus is dumbbell minister Arie Boomsma. “I invited Arie to my book launch via Instagram and I felt like he had read it, because it had been opened, but he had not responded. And then I dreamed that night that he said: ‘You also think you can do anything,’” she says in The Friday Move.
A bit grumpy like Arie did to Renze Klamer last week? “Yes, I didn’t see that, but that… ‘You also think that you can do everything and then you immediately start doing it. And now that Killer Mindset again.’ A bit angry, but I think it’s more about me being insecure that he hadn’t responded to it. Let me relate it to myself.”
Not pleasant
Fajah would have liked it if Arie had just said something back, she says. But yes, with the help of that silly tape on his mouth, Arie apparently takes the concept of ‘ghosting’ to a higher level. “Well, if he had said: ‘No, I can’t’, or: ‘I can’, but yes…
Does she have a good relationship with him? “No, no, no, but I just know him from… You know, the famous Dutch people who know each other. We all pretend to be best friends at launches, but in real life we never interact. That’s how it usually goes.”
Same DNA
So after her encounters with Arie, she had expected him to respond? Fajah: “Yes. Well, also because I… I thought, or I still think, that we have a bit of the same DNA.”
A read check mark as the new ‘no thanks’? She is quite sensitive to such a harsh diss from Arie, Fajah concludes. “Yes, for some things, because I didn’t like that he hadn’t responded, you know?”
