HCAW again managed to beat Neptunus in the Holland Series. The baseball-squad from Bussum won 2-0 on Saturday-afternoon against the Rotterdam-squad. This means that the mutual score is also 2-0 in favor of the North Hollanders.
The first run was scored in the third inning by Julian Goins, who came in on a hit by Jeandro Tromp. Max Draaijer sacrificed himself in the next inning, enabling Phildrick Llewellyn to double the lead: 2-0. The Bussum-squad then held on, meaning they start the third game with a good feeling. He will be in Rotterdam tomorrow.
The Holland Series is the traditional closing of the baseball season. In a best-of-seven series, it is determined who crowns the national champion. Amsterdam Pirates is the reigning champion and won the last two editions (2021 and 2019), but was eliminated by HCAW in the semi-final.
