Two days before the end of the season, the handball Bundesliga club TSV Hannover-Burgdorf has strengthened itself for the coming season.
The Swede Adam Nyfjäll (30) is moving to Lower Saxony from league competitor HSG Wetzlar in the summer. As the seventh in the table announced on Tuesday, the line runner signed a contract until 2025.
The club is thus reacting to the departure of Evgeni Pevnov (34), who rejected the offer to extend his contract last month and will leave Hannover-Burgdorf after six years.
“With Adam we get an experienced player who already knows the league well because of his time in Wetzlar,” said sporting director Sven-Sören Christophersen: “There he proved his abilities as captain and leading player.”
Nyfjäll has played for Wetzlar since 2021. He scored 153 goals in 64 Bundesliga games for HSG.
