The two top teams clapped, the pursuers won – in the handball Bundesliga, the 21st matchday made the top even narrower.
It all started with the fact that the SG Flensburg-Handewitt of the MT Melsungen on Saturday evening (01.03.2025) added the next defeat and thus caused even more excitement in the HBL. Flensburg won the top game against the league leader with 35:33 (14:13) and also has chances of intervening in the fight for first place. With 30: 12 points, the SG was able to shorten the gap to Melsungen (34: 8) to four points.
Hanover misses to draw with Melsungen
Flensburg opened the door to TSV Hannover -Burgdorf to open the league leader – but the team around striker Renars Uscins also failed. Hanover stumbled at 33:33 after a 20:17 half-time lead at the penultimate of the league, HC Erlangen only won his sixth point this season against the title candidate.
The Lower Saxony did not use Melsungen’s template, but all other persecutors. After 33:30 (15:15) at DHfK Leipzig, the Foxes Berlin are the same with Hanover, both have a balance of 33: 9 and are now a counter behind the leader.

Top games in Magdeburg and Flensburg again in three weeks
Five teams currently only separate two minus points and every week the master question becomes even more open.
