And further: “No further explanations will be made. I ask that you respect the privacy of my clients and refrain from further inquiries.” This also means: There will be no more information or further statements on this.

Marriage over for world champions: Lisa and Thomas Müller are separating
There had been ongoing speculation about the Müllers’ relationship for months. Thomas Müller, who will be working as an expert on MagentaTV during the upcoming World Cup, is now under contract in Canada. Lisa Müller did not move to North America with her husband after his move, but instead stayed in Bavaria.
The couple married in 2009. While offensive star Müller became a crowd favorite at FC Bayern and in the national team and, among other things, won the Champions League twice with the German record champions, Lisa Müller made a name for herself as a successful dressage rider. She was also involved in politics and joined the CSU in December 2025 after an internship with the Bavarian state parliament president Ilse Aigner.
The professional footballer followed his wife in his enthusiasm for horses and equestrian sports. The two lived together on a stud farm near Munich, and he also sometimes rode and accompanied Lisa to tournaments. Just last February, she said at an event: “As an athlete, he knows how much I live for my sport. I, as an athlete, know how much he lives for his sport.”

At that time she was also asked about the long-distance relationship on two continents. The 131-time national player has been under contract with the Vancouver Whitecaps in the North American professional league MLS since last summer. His wife didn’t go with him and stayed in Bavaria. She continues to look after the joint Gut Wettlkam stud farm. “The decision was not easy for us to continue working on two continents,” said Lisa Müller. There was never a question of “leaving our stud farm alone for a year.”
