Hazelnut oil, the cosmetic properties
Yellowish and slightly viscous, hazelnut oil is an ingredient very effective in cosmetics thanks to the high percentage of unsaturated lipids contained. Easily absorbed, it does not grease or weigh down the skin, characteristics that make it compatible with oily skin but also with dry skin and with the most delicate, such as that of children. It doesn’t clog pores, so it’s non-comedogenic.
Hazelnut oil specifically counteracts the signs of premature aging caused by the environment: in its natural composition there are omega 6 and 9, fatty acids that stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, so as to keep the skin hydrated and elastic.
There Vitamin E instead it carries out an antioxidant and healing action, ideal in case of acne. Finally theoleic acid strengthens the epidermal hydrolipidic film, always keeping the level of hydration and nourishment high.
Hazelnut oil for the face
Highly virtuous, hazelnut oil is therefore perfect for the face. Deeply nourishes the skin, illuminating. You can apply it alone or as adjuvant of the classic cream, as it enhances firming and nourishment.
Another use of it is as make-up remover: applied to a cotton pad, pass it all over the face, including the eyes and lips, and then rinse with warm water.
If instead the skin is oily or acne-prone, twice a week can replace the toner, rebalancing the production of sebum. Also, it’s an ingredient very present in sunscreens precisely because of its antioxidant and protective properties against photoaging.
Hazelnut oil on hair
Not just leather. In his multitasking, hazelnut oil is also suitable for hair, especially for flat and fine hair: in fact, it gives body and reinforcing the hair structure so that the hair is not only stronger but also thicker to the touch and shinier.
Perfect for wraps, hazelnut oil it is spread over all lengths, which they then wrap in a towel, leaving it on for about 15-20 minutes. Then proceed with the normal washing. Or can also be applied to the scalp: in this case the processing time will last throughout the night, always wrapping the hair in a towel.
