Two people became unwell at a waste processing company on Middenweg in Moerdijk because a hazardous substance was released there. An air ambulance was called and several emergency services were present. The victims were taken to hospital.
It is not yet known exactly what substance was released and how it could have happened. The fire brigade is on site to investigate.
The company has been evacuated and other employees have been accommodated elsewhere.
According to the safety region, the substance is not dangerous to the wider environment.
