Pet chipping and registration
If you take a dog in Zoetermeer, you must have it chipped and registered. This may have already been done. To be sure, you can have this checked by a vet. Are you moving or do you have a new phone number? Do not forget to pass this on to the database where your dog is registered. Read more here about chipping and registering dogs.
There is no chip and registration requirement for all other pets, but it is possible to have your cat or rabbit chipped, for example. Very handy, because if your animal escapes and is found, they know where to find you – the owner – quickly! Check here which animal species you can have microchipped.
