Beau van Erven Dorens reveals that he never heard from his departing colleague Eva Jinek again. So she’s not exactly one team player. “But she has to do it the way she wants…”
Eva Jinek’s contract with RTL 4 expires in a few weeks. For four years she was in a carousel at the channel with Beau van Erven Dorens and Humberto Tan; they took turns spending the late evening with each other. Colleagues, then, but Eva turns out not to be a collegial type at all. She didn’t even send either gentleman an email about her departure from the channel.
Contact Eva?
Humberto has expressed his surprise about this several times and Beau also finds it a strange matter. He did not see Eva’s departure from their employer RTL 4 coming and did not hear anything about it.
His talk show guest Marc-Marie Huijbregts asked Beau last night: “Do you ever contact Eva about it?”
Beau then: “That’s very mean… I haven’t even heard from her that she’s leaving! In other words…”
‘That’s her business’
Marc-Marie reacts in surprise. Then laughing: “Did you just hear that?”
It’s clear that Beau is a little disappointed in Eva, but he’s being diplomatic. “No, that’s… Yes, that’s her business. She must do that as she wishes. She is a fantastic presenter, they are very lucky to have her and they are going to score really fantastic at seven o’clock.”
Cuckoo chick
Beau finds it quite intense what Eva’s return to the NPO will bring about. “Actually, that’s a bit like the cuckoo’s cub that pushes everyone out. That sounds mean, she is a fantastic presenter, but she comes there and is welcomed there as a heroine. And rightly so, because she is super good, but everyone has to make way for it.”
The grapes are particularly sour for Op1: that program will disappear completely from the air after the summer.
