The chances of a successful marriage in the television program Married At First Sight (MAFS) are very small. But the Zoetermeerder Astleigh brand new wife Rowan certainly succeeded. “After our marriage and the test period of cohabitation, Rowan actually didn’t leave Zoetermeer anymore.”

Fortunately, Astleigh’s neighbors kept their mouth shut, otherwise all of Zoetermeer would have known during the last episodes that the couple is inseparable. “The neighbors here are very discreet,” Rowan says. “After our marriage, we quickly knew that we were a good match. We moved in together and I stayed.” Rowan still has a house in Almere, but she still lives and works mainly from home in Zoetermeer. “We are now busy renovating. The work is almost done.”
In the Hoogvliet
You could just meet the brand new couple together in Zoetermeer. Astleigh: “We regularly do our shopping at Hoogvliet in the Dorpsstraat. But we also sometimes have Picnic come over.” There is also no lack of attention from fellow citizens. Rowan: “I am regularly approached by people on the street or in shops. I just really like that. Everyone is very nice.”
