Hattrick Jayden Addai plunges Telstar into mourning, White Lions again

Telstar again failed to win in the first division. Young AZ was too strong on Monday evening due to three goals from Jayden Addai (3-1). It also didn’t help that Jay Kruiver was able to take a shower soon after the second half after a second yellow card. A goal from Zakaria Eddahchouri was not enough.

The team from Velsen had changed in three places compared to the crazy match against SC Cambuur a week and a half ago. Jay Kruiver, Mees Kandorp and Tom van de Loo were in the base instead of Cain Seedorf, Jayden Turfkruier and Tom Overtoom. The latter was absent due to an injury. It was Jong AZ, who had more of the ball in the opening phase and took the initiative.

Ro-Zangelo Daal therefore created the first chance after a nice combination with Jeremiah Esajas. Telstar made itself heard through basic debutant Van de Loo. His shot went over the goal of goalkeeper Rome Jayden Owusu-Oduro, who returned after a long injury. The top scorer of the Alkmaar youngsters, Jayden Addai, made it 1-0. Ricuenio Kewal provided the assist and Addai shot the ball behind Ronald Koeman Jr.

Telstar’s hopes for a result disappeared almost immediately. Kruiver knocked out the steaming Jurre van Aken and received his second yellow card of the match and was able to take a shower. Iman Griffith, Addai and Kewal created opportunities to extend the score, but Koeman kept his goal clean on several occasions.

Under the watchful eye of his father, national coach Ronald Koeman, he still had to collect a goal from Jong AZ in the final phase. Goal scorer Addai saw his first bet turned, but still put the ball over Koeman: 2-0. The team from Velsen showed almost nothing in the second half, but still scored an honorary goal. Mitch Apau passed Zakaria Eddahchouri and he headed in. After a foul by Jorginho Soares, Jong AZ received a penalty and Addai decided the game with his third goal: 3-1.
