Atakaş Hatayspor took the field at Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Stadium for the first time after the earthquake, which was considered as the “Disaster of the Century”.
A moment of silence was held before the match. Atakaş Hatayspor Technical Director Volkan Demirel presented the name of Sporting Director Tamer Savut, who lost his life in the earthquake, and a t-shirt with the words “We Will Not Forget You” to his family.
Demirel took the number 30 jersey of Atsu, the football player from Hatayspor, who lost his life in the earthquake, and held it in his hand in the team photo.
The trio of Cihan Aydın, Hakan Yemişken and Onur Gülter moderated the competition.
Atakas Hatayspor; Erce Brothers, Kamil Ahmet Çörekçi, Burak Bekaroğlu, Cengiz Demir, Engin Can Aksoy, Bashiru, Musa Çağıran, Strandberg, Görkem Sağlam, Djabi and Onur Arı took the field with their 11 players.
The guest team, Ingram, Christie, Jones, Greaves, Fleming, Seri, Simons, Slater, Longman, Delap and Tetteh competed with the starting eleven.
The first half of the match, where emotional moments were experienced with the kick-off, ended 0-0.
Hull City took the lead 1-0 with a goal scored in the 68th minute by Jarvis, who was substituted in the second half. Atakaş Hatayspor caught the draw with the goal scored by Ünal Durmuşhan, who entered the game in the second half, in the 83rd minute.
While there was no other goal in the match, the teams left the field in a draw.
The ticket revenue will be donated to the earthquake victims. Hull City President Acun Ilıcalı and Hatay Metropolitan Mayor Lütfü Savaş watched the match from the stands.
