More haste less speed. A parcel deliverer who wanted to cut off a piece on Thursday evening got stuck with his delivery van in a lawn on Nobellaan in Assen.
The parcel deliverer first tried to get the vehicle out of the soggy grass himself. When that failed, he was picked up by a colleague, leaving the van unattended.
A short time later he returned accompanied by auxiliary troops: colleagues who tried to pull the stranded bridge out of the grass with a tow rope. After a first tow rope snapped, it was successful on a second attempt and the parcel deliverer was able to continue on his way.
