Hassan misses her final shot and is sixth out of 5000 at the World Cup
Sifan Hassan has not won a medal in the 5000 meters at the World Athletics Championships in Eugene, USA. The Dutch athlete ran to sixth place in the final in Hayward Field stadium. She clearly lacked speed in the last 200 meters. Ethiopian Gudaf Tsegay won in 14.46.29. Hassan clocked 14.48.12.
Hassan previously finished fourth in the 10,000 meters at the World Cup. Three years ago at the global title fight in Doha, she still won gold in the 1500 and 10,000 meters. Last year she won Olympic gold in Tokyo in the 5000 and 10,000 meters and bronze in the 1500 meters.
