When eight teenagers bake a cake on Friday evening… The teenagers apparently baked drugs in biscuits on Saturday night and overdosed themselves in the process. The result: Stomach and intestinal irritation, severe side effects. Four of them were taken to the hospital.

According to a spokesman for the Berlin fire department, the emergency call came in shortly before midnight. On the keyword “overdose without any other symptoms”, five ambulances, an ambulance and a lead vehicle arrived at the apartment building on Märkische Allee a little later.

According to BZ information, the victims had to vomit again and again. While four of them could be treated on site as outpatients, four others had to be transported to the hospital for inpatient treatment. There is no danger to life. There was also no severe “impairment of consciousness”. Permanent damage is not to be expected.

For the Berlin fire brigade, the operation ended at 2:13 a.m. According to the spokesman, the rest is now a matter for the criminal investigation department. Apparently several biscuits were found. The police still had to clarify which substances they contained, it said on request. Age information and whether the young people were unsupervised have not yet been clarified.

However, it is obvious that cannabis or hashish had been baked. The level of the intoxicating substance THC in some cannabis products has doubled in the past decade.

An average of 10.1 percent THC was found in confiscated hashish in 2012, and in the current year the content was 20.4 percent, as the Senate Health Administration responded to an AfD request.
