18-year-old Hasan was found seriously injured on New Year’s Eve at a house in his hometown of Bladel. He had stitches in his upper body and abdomen and died on the spot. Nick B. (18), also from Bladel, was in court for the first time on Friday morning for this stabbing. Nick and Hasan had been fighting for a long time and both wore ankle bracelets.
Nick B. was arrested at home that same night and has confessed that he stabbed Ali Hasan, who is called Hasan by those around him. Prior to the fatal stabbing on Van Dissellaan, the suspect and the victim had a fight for minutes.
Huge knife
According to the public prosecutor, images can be seen and heard how Nick B. threatens his victim with a huge knife for a long time, while Hasan remains very calm and allows himself to be pushed away and all kinds of things are said to him by the suspect. Nick B.’s lawyer sees something completely different on the images and says that he feared for his life and that it was severe weather.
Hasan would have threatened him with a firearm and also grabbed his belt where the weapon might have been. That weapon was found by the police on the victim, but it did not work. Hasan has threatened Nick B. before with a firearm, but then he indicated during the interrogation that he knew that Hasan did not have a real, but a fake weapon.
Hasan and Nick were known to the police and to each other. For example, in October 2021 Nick was threatened with a gun by Hasan. It didn’t stop there. Nick B. was also assaulted and punched and kicked in the face at Van de Lindenstaat in Hapert. That was also all filmed by Hasan. They were both 17 years old at the time. At the time, Hasan received a community service order of 80 hours and 42 days of juvenile detention from the juvenile court in Den Bosch.
Home robbery
Last January, Hasan was arrested with another boy for a robbery at the Horizon in Bladel. They threatened the 51-year-old resident and demanded things from him.
Nick also has a lot to report: threats, drug trafficking and inflicting grievous bodily harm on Hasan.
Nick was also previously convicted by the juvenile court. The hefty punishments did not bring him to repent: he is now imprisoned for stabbing Hasan to death on December 31.
Commemoration
About a week after the fatal stabbing incident, dozens of relatives, friends and acquaintances gathered in Bladel to commemorate Hasan. They wanted to show that he was loved despite his past.
