They have mobile phone stolen in Barcelona? The Mossos have dismantled a house in the Raval neighborhood with more than a hundred stolen terminals and they are proceeding to return them. As they explain this Thursday in a note, they arrested a 20-year-old man, a 38-year-old man and a minor for this on January 30.
The events date back to that Sunday, January 30, around 7:30 p.m. when plainclothes agents were required to go to the portal of a building in the Raval neighborhood where there were three young people – who did not know each other – and who had been victims. of three thefts of their respective mobile phones. Through the device locator at three the same location appeared.
Sale of stolen terminals
In parallel, and while they were making arrangements in the place, the Mossos detected a man who arrived at the same portal and who upon receiving a call he entered the building. After identifying him, in the frisk they found him five high-end mobiles, three of them wrapped in aluminum foil inside the underpants. The man told the agents that he had stolen them the night before and that he was going to a flat where i used to sell them.
From there, the agents began procedures to find out the possible point of purchase of mobile phones obtained illegally.
With the consent of the owner, they entered the apartment and identified several people inside. Specifically, they identified a man who, seeing the presence of the agents, quickly hid under a sofa more than 3,800 euros in cash.
Tourists
In this man’s room they found a laptop and some 70 mobile phones on a mattress that were allegedly stolen, a twenty of which had already been previously denounced. It is the case that in those that were not stolen, they were missing SIM cards or, for example, there were wallpaper images of people allegedly foreign that very possibly they had done tourism in the city and that they were totally alien to the family who resided at that address. After the discovery, the agents collected all the devices to continue their investigations.
Given these facts and the evidence collected, the agents arrested a man and a minor who lived in the property as alleged perpetrators of a reception crime.
the freedom
The Mossos asked the judicial authority for an order to enter and search the property after suspecting that could find more electronic devices and various information from neighbors of the farm who pointed out that it was common for people to go to that address, either to sell the stolen phones or to verify that the location of the locator of their stolen phone gave them that exact point.
