“Wetten, dass..?”, “Go all out!” and “7 days, 7 heads” are already back – and the “100,000 mark show” should be there soon. But if moderator Harry Wijnvoord has his way, the comeback wave on German television can spill a little further.
The 72-year-old – who himself is currently reviving his game show “The price is hot” (Wednesday, 8:15 p.m., RTL) – even has a specific suggestion: “You could also put the “Mini Playback Show” with Marijke Amado back on,” said he of the German Press Agency. “That would be just fantastic.”
Amado (68) presented the “Mini Playback Show” from 1990 and 1998. In the show, children could dress up as pop stars and sing their songs to playback. A jury then always gave extremely benevolent judgments. The program is considered a cultural asset of the 90s – similar to many programs that are currently experiencing a second spring on German TV.
Wijnvoord also believes that the “Family Duel”, once moderated by Werner Schulze-Erdel (70), still has a chance today. “Of course!” he said. In the USA, the game show is still running “continuously”.
