Prince Harry could become deputy monarch.
Buckingham Palace announced on Monday that the King with Charles, 75, has cancer. It is not said what kind of cancer Charles has. Charles told his sons Harry and William about it on Monday, and Prince Harry was already in London on Tuesday afternoon to meet his father.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex left the court in 2020, and Harry no longer has much royal responsibilities. Harry lives with his spouse Meghan’s and with her two children in California.
However, the situation may change. Charles is now king, and after his death a prince will become king William. But if William couldn’t handle the task or he died in the next few years, Harry would become the ruler.

William and Catherine’s children are of course ahead of Harry in the order of succession to the crown, but the firstborn of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince George is only 10 years old and the king must be of legal age, i.e. at least 18 years old.
George will turn 18 in 2031.
