Social media has been rife with speculation as to whether Harry Styles spat on the actress at the Venice Film Festival.

British pop star Harry Styles has been at the center of the commotion for the past week, as he allegedly spat at an actress By Chris Pine on at the premiere at the Venice Film Festival.
Styles commented on the uproar at his concert at New York’s Madison Square Garden yesterday, September 7. Styles was just starting his song Don’t Worry Darlingwhen he uttered a few words into the mic about the commotion.
– This is our tenth appearance at Madison Square Garden. It’s really great, great, great to be back in New York. I just did a quick peep in Venice spitting on Chris Pine.
– But don’t worry, we’re here again!

Styles and Pine have previously only commented on the uproar through their representatives. Representatives of both have denied the act.
– This is ridiculous and the result of an online illusion. To be clear, Harry Styles did not spit on Chris Pine. There is nothing but respect between these two men. Everything else is an attempt to create drama that just isn’t there,” Pine’s rep told Variety.
Harry Styles originally became known from the band One Direction. He has created a solo career after the band broke up.
Styles is dating actress Olivia Wilde.
