Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde have split. That reported “People”. The two have been a couple since early 2021, they met on the set of Don’t Worry Darling, where Styles starred and Wilde directed.
Possible reasons for separation
Over the course of their relationship, Wilde and Styles have endured a bit of drama surrounding the release of their Don’t Worry Darling project, particularly the persistent claims that Wilde and the film’s lead actress, Florence Pugh, had fallen out.
In September, 40 members of the crew and production team were prompted to release a statement denying the rumours: “As a team we have avoided engaging in the absurd talk about the film of which we are so proud, but we feel the need to correct the anonymous ‘sources’ cited in a recent article,” the team said, adding that Wilde was “an incredible leader and director.”
Anonymous sources are now saying that the relationship between the filmmaker and the pop star may have ended because the couple suffered from intense scrutiny. “Public pressure on her has been difficult,” a “friend” told People. “They’ve had ups and downs in their relationship.”
A mutual decision
“He’s still touring and now he’s going abroad. She’s focused on her kids and her work in LA,” the source told People. “It’s a very amicable decision. They’re still very close friends.” Wilde and Styles have yet to comment on the split.
Styles is currently in Mexico for a series of performances as part of his “Love On” tour.
